Buildings, in their own light

Visual Narratives is an architectural photography and film studio based in Lahore, serving architects, developers and institutions across Lahore, Islamabad and Karachi. Founded by Usman Saqib Zuberi and Ali Ahmed.

We have photographed buildings since 2016, for the architects who design them, the institutions that commission them, and the people who inhabit them. The studio works across stills, film and documentary, approaching every building as a subject in its own right: its own geometry, its own way of being lived in.

The work spans residences, mosques, campuses, corporate headquarters and cultural landmarks, including documentation for the Aga Khan Award for Architecture — Vision Pakistan, in Islamabad, won the 2025 cycle, with Denso Hall Rahguzar also shortlisted, Pakistan's first recognition since Alhamra Arts Council in 1998. Work in Islamabad has appeared in ArchDaily; in Lahore, in Architectural Digest.
