Pakistan's first win since 1998
Visual Narratives was the documentation photographer for Vision Pakistan — the project that won the Aga Khan Award for Architecture's 2025 Cycle, the first Pakistani project to receive the Award since Alhamra Arts Council in 1998. Denso Hall Rahguzar, also documented by the studio, was shortlisted in the same cycle.

A rehabilitation facility providing vocational training and life skills to disadvantaged young men. Visual Narratives documented the completed building for the architects and for the Award's submission — the resulting photography accompanied the project through shortlisting and its eventual win.

The transformation of a historic Karachi street into a pedestrianised, environmentally resilient public space, combining heritage restoration with low-carbon materials and craft revival — documented by Visual Narratives for the Award's shortlisting.
The Aga Khan Award for Architecture is given every three years to projects that set new standards of excellence in architecture, planning practices, historic preservation and landscape architecture, with a particular focus on communities where Muslims have a significant presence. Documentation photography is part of the Award's formal process — architects submit completed photography alongside drawings and questionnaires, and that material follows a project through nomination, shortlisting, and the jury's final review.
Visual Narratives photographed both Vision Pakistan and Denso Hall Rahguzar as part of that submission process, on commission from the architects. Vision Pakistan's win marks Pakistan's first recognition from the Award since Alhamra Arts Council in Lahore, in 1998.
